This is a mala that a customer of mine special ordered and I thought would be nice to list here. There are 108 large rosewood beads and 3 natural turquoise spacers and it also has a rosewood beads on the tassel. Each rosewood bead measures 8mm and the circumference of the mala is 39 inches long. It can be wrapped around your wrist 4 to 5 times depending on the size of your wrist. Since the turquoise beads are natural, the sizes and the shapes may vary from one to another. Prayer Mala or beads are usually used by Buddhists around the world, especially in Tibet, Nepal and India and used for meditation, counting mantras, and prostration. Those counters are especially for counting when you do prostrations or in a retreat for counting mantras. Malas are worn on the left wrist while not in use. Please email me for more detail and I will be more than happy to assist you.
