This listing is for a rosewood wrist mala with guru bead and it also has carved conch shell and turquoise spacers. there are 27 beads all together including the turquoise and carved conch shell spacers. Each of the bead measures 8mm. The mantra OM MANI PADME HUM is the mantra of Buddha of compassion, Avalokteshvara and it means HAIL TO THE JEWEL IN THE LOTUS. Mala or prayer beads are usually used by Buddhists around the world especially in Tibet, Nepal and India and used for meditation, counting mantras, and prostration and those counters are especially for counting when you do prostration or in a retreat for counting mantras.
